Actually - while it is entirely possible, you're wrong to suggest it's likely based on 'past performance'.

At this risk of this sounding like a weepy Oscar acceptance speech....
Thank you to Admin for arranging this, and thank you very much to Flangesax for the extremely generous donation of 1st prize. Thanks as well to Mireson for passing on it! Next year will be the last winter before school holidays become an issue so this is well timed. We will hopefully be taking several kids in our group who have never been on snow, so we are really excited!
The chalet looks great, I'll be sure to let everyone know how it went. Which I know sounds a bit smug, but it really is less smug than earlier drafts of this post. We can't wait!

I don't do speeches. In fact if I time this holiday right I could get out of the father-of-the-bride speech at my daugther's wedding....only joking darling, wouldn't miss it for the world.
OK apologies first for holding up proceedings...but I'm sure the tension was a good as an episode of 24...next time I'll be checking my emails sooner...to think I could have missed this great prize. Secondly thanks to everyone that's organised this brilliant event and all those that have donated prizes (especially Snow and Sunshine), and also thanks to mireson for choosing the jacket, it's all really appreciated.
