The forecasts keep indicating more sunshine, but it just keeps snowing! Day in the trees at Zauchensee today, almost continuous snow until about 2pm, lovely powder, and no people again - does no-one else here ski off piste? And how does Zauchensee always seem to have the lightest fluffiest powder around?
And @Kooky, which is the hut for ribs - my "luxury lunch" favorite!

Well the sunshine has well and truly arrived. Conditions lovely, and it is not like skiing in a deep freeze any more - temps up to only just below freezing at valley level.

We're currently trying to sort out a week at half term. Jnr Wants to go on a training camp (and we're pretty keen!) so we're working through the different options for getting out there.

Had a day out at Schladming Saturday with JanetS, MikeG36 and Mark (don't know his Snowheads name)- in Amade terms it was rammed, and very scraped and quite unpleasant pistes. Did Flachau to Alpendorf and back today - a thousand times better, was quite busy but felt safe apart from when JanetS took me out! Lovely sunshine, nice temperatures, and the snow was largely very good.

Hi Amade skiers I was out at Hinterreit today, supposed to be race training but put my back out on the journey here so making do with some gentle sliding, and actually finding even that hard work! Fortunately the pistes are in perfect condition, very smooth so no sharp movements, and views are fabulous so still a pleasure to be here.

We're going to be staying in an apartment near Rohrmoos for half term. Our flights don't get in to Salzburg until 7.45pm. I'm guessing most (all) of the shops will be shut in Schladming by the time we get there. So I was looking at stopping at the motorway services to get some basic provisions for breakfast in the morning -
Any ideas which of the two service stations (Eben or Golling) would be best to stop at? Or are there any better options than relying on a service station? It really will need to be a quick shop as the apartment landlord would prefer us there as soon as we can.

I haven't stopped at Golling but the Eben station should have milk, bread/rolls, butter and the like so you should be able to get some breakfast basics there.

@hammerite, what @flangesax, said. The service stations are incredibly expensive 
I work next to the Eben service station and the prices are about 3 times more expensive that the supermarket.

@@hammerite, use the Jet garage in Schladming, on the main road heading to Haus, it's a Billa too. Ange.
