Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mogul Camp - early season, just booked it and thought others may be interested

Let me say straight away that I have no commercial affiliation with this company and this is an honest and genuine heads up to people on this forum who might be interested in an early season chance to learn to ski moguls better.
Essentially they Camp is in Kaprun on the Kitzsteinhorn glacial area, you can book for 3 or 6 days training. The price ranges from €240 for 3 days training only to €1860 for 6 days training, 4 star half board, lift pass and transfer from Salzburg airport.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not up to the moguls course, the improver course is more my speed. Any idea how large the teaching groups might be?

Also, just out of curiosity, did the moguls course live up to expectation?

For anyone else who's thinking of a course in Kaprun - whatever you do, don't go with Skivolution unless you're at least level 6 or 7 on their grading system. Despite claiming the contrary on their website, they accept absolute beginners onto their technical courses and the only way you can be sure of not being in the very wide ranging "bottom" group in terms of ski level is to be at least level 6 or 7.

@skidipity, I can second the review above, Ski Instructor Academy (SIA Austria) are great, they have small groups and the training is brilliant. The split the clinics / camps into levels when booking so you can choose beginner, improver or performance so at least you half know what you're getting before your even start, but would defo recommend them.
