Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Many Thanks

I've stayed at the Logis Hotel de France in La Chartre sur le Loir if that's any help?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If you want a bit of history there's the Hotel de France in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir. This is where a number of different teams based themselves while racing at the Le Mans 24hrs, including Jaguar and Triumph. http://www.lhoteldefrance.fr/

If you're just passing through and it's a convienient break point look for something near a tram stop as it makes it easy to get in to the centre of town and the restaurants in the old, cobbled streets behind Place de l'Eperon/Rue de la Galere.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for that, La Chartre looks good.

We always stay at the Premiere Classe Ouest-Universite when we come back from the Pyrenees, handy as it has a pizzeria next door to it

hi, just in case you are still looking, we stayed here last year when we went to the Classic Le Mans: http://www.hotel-bb.com/en/hotels/alencon.htm it's about an hour North - and really near the main road to easy access. There's a Buffalo grill next door, the equivalent of a travel lodge and harvester type affair. Really cheap too.

We also stayed here the night after the races https://www.appartcity.com/fr/appart-hotel/tours-a-tours.html which was around 15 mins off the main routes, but had a great mall over the road with lovely eateries (in the summer for us, we sat outside with our two dogs).

Lastly, if you need something just in France, around an hour from the Tunnel, then this place was also fab
https://www.booking.com/hotel/fr/domaine-de-collen.en-gb.html but for winter check it has heating maybe?

Hope that helps!
