Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ischgl January 2018

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,

First of all, apologies if i'm looking at plans wwaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy too far in advance.

Does anyone have any recommendations or advice regarding Ischgl in Austria?, I've only ever been to Finland and France skiing.

I'm 27 - an intermediate skier, looking at going solo for a week in the new year - just a bit nervous about going alone! (regardless of the numerous threads assuring me how fantastic going on your own is).

Bit of a shame i can't get away anywhere else this year, got back from a week in Levi in January but alas, too many plans and just can't squeeze them into my jobs holiday allowance!.

Came close to booking with Inghams, 7 nights in January '18, B&B, Hotel Van Sinestra, including flights and transfers for £800.00.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!.

Ta.

Dan.

Nice hotel, good location, great resort. Excellent intermediate terrain, guaranteed snow, world class apres ski. There's nothing not to like.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Been a few times and rate the place highly
Only downsides are it's a bit more expensive than most Austrian resorts and there is not much below the tree line on snowy days

@Parzival, If you're B&B then brush up your German for the evenings. Most restaurants seem to be in the hotels and often only have German menus. It's also quite £££ to eat out.

Or you could go to Burger King 7 times which addresses both points Skullie
