Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Plastic ski slopes - suggestions (N.London/Herts/Essex)

Hi Everyone,

I'm keen to give most things a try to keep skiing whilst not in the Alps. I've been a number of times to Hemel and will continue to do so, you might have seen my comments on MK (won't be going back!), I've also tried the SkiPlex ski mats (again won't be going back).

I have not skied on a dry slope before (except for about 2 runs in Sheffield a long time ago!). I am keen to give a dry slope a try.

Does anyone go and if so can you recommend a dry slope in N.London/Herts/Essex? Or nearby. The threads on here are quote old and with lots of talk of many places lacking investment or closing down, I am not sure where we be good to try?

From a search on here and Google, I believe there is one in Welwyn (Gosling) and Brentwood. Are there any others?

Also, if i went I would be keen to get a lesson as it would be a new surface to get used to. So any instructor recommendations would also be great.

Thanks,
R

Thanks, I've seen that beefore, but it doesn't tell me whether it is falling apart at the seams or has good instructors.

@rossyl, fair enough then. The Brentwood site seems a little under construction.
