What a hero! Love the camera passing through the smoke.
Rig? 2 guidelines, 2m+ length fixed to either side of smartphone. Looks like fishing line.
How does the camera stay oriented and not spin around the guideline axis? Perhaps naturally stabilised else stabilising streamer ribbon.
Very impressive footage knocking a selfie stick firmly into touch.

@PeDaSp, ....nico ar'Sin around on our home slopes at cry'der and in the faverges - both Crans Montana - breaking the jinx on the place - namely 'old skiers never die, they just go to crans montana'...
With Derek Wedge (red bull) and nico vuignier both being based in Crans Montana it's rather a jolly place...

There's more to that than just swinging it around his head, how does it stay oriented and not just spin all over the place? Mmmm...

Is it on a kite or such, he doesn't appearing to be making any arm movements to suggest swinging it around his head?

He says it took 2 years to get working, he's going to publish a video on his channel showing how it is done. I guess with everything that looks really cool, it is actually a lot of hard work.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I don't think its on a kite or streamer, you can see the shadow of the phone at 2.15, I think its just on 4 lines from each corner of the phone to maintain orientation

Totally amazing video. The solwmo really makes it though. Without it, it would loose the effect.

Probably a balloon not a kite.

You can see the iPhone in the last shots. Not a kite or a balloon. As simple and some strong and somehow attaching it to the device, so the focus point is fixed on him. Very clever. I'm going to attempt the same thing for a driving video 😂

Shades of The Matrix at times.

Do a Google Search for "Centriphone" ..... there's plenty to look at including Vuignier's own blog of how he did it.
