Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just looking to book flights to Geneva next season with a view to booking accommodation nearer the time, what is the preferred changeover day for chalet owners?

I think Saturday still more common changeover day but plenty offer Sundays too. What time of year are you planning to go? Any idea where?
Sunday has advantages, eg quieter roads, quiet pistes on Saturday. Disadvantage is if you have to go straight back to work on Monday morning!

Generally Sat-Sat is standard. Sun-Sun exists. Increasing flexibility increasing.

@Gregd, if you are driving into a resort, Sunday is better on the roads.

Sunday to Sunday accommodation is limited to mostly a few British operated chalets (and the occasional hotel may accommodate you) but transfer times, Geneva to resort, are likely to be quicker.

I think Tour Ops and French Owned tend to be Saturday to Saturday and "Private British Chalet Owner/Operators" tend to be Sunday to Sunday as it's slightly quieter.

Saturday to Saturday will generally give you much more choice of accommodation than Sunday to Sunday and lessons tend to be Sunday to Friday meaning that you may miss the first day of group lessons.
