Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

5 year old ski lessons

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

Looking for advice regarding ski lessons for my son.

We are going to Tignes Le Lac 30th December and are wanting some group lessons for our 5 year old. He has had 3 hours of private lesson at Castleford so is still a novice. We had some booked with New Generation but unfortunately they have cancelled the group as he was the only one in it.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

David

Welcome to SHs, @David1986. How very disappointing that the New Gen lessons have been cancelled! I can't offer advice on Tignes Le Lac but have booked small group lessons with the ESI in Les Saisies for my two grand-daughters - max 5 in a group. There are (independent) ESI schools throughout the French Alps - worth a bit of googling for ESI in Tignes, perhaps. Are New Generation not able to suggest any sensible alternatives. I do think it's a shame when they do this.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I would recommend:

1. First choice would be Progression Ski (Kids - 4.5 to 12): http://www.progressionski.com/ski-lessons/#kids-and-teens

2. Second choice would be Evo 2. They say that it is for children from 6, or who have had a little previous experience. A phone call would confirm if your child would be accepted:

We've used ESF for my little nieces for the last 2 years, aged 4 and 5 they have a club piou piou which they little ones love, you can do half day or full days. Admittedly this is in Les Arcs 1800 but I would imagine that the same is available in Tignes.
