Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Am looking for fellow skiers / boarders after some relaxed late season cruising in the Alps somewhere (roughly intermediate standard). Have some flexibilty on dates though would need to be during first / second week of April sometime, don't mind where though would need to be quite high as late in season. Am 54 so wont be overly bothered about the apres ski !

Hi @johnfa, welcome to Snowheads!

If you look in the events thread, you'll see there are rather a lot of Snowheads heading to Val Thorens in April; over 60 of us for the Spring Family Bash on 7th to 14th April, and many more for the End of Season Bash the following week. Staying in Hameau du Kashmir and L'Oxalys apartments, respectively.

Even if you don't formally join us on the bash (and I can see why you might not want to join the families... but it isn't only families, even on the Family Bash) you will find plenty of friendly people to ski and board with. Particularly if you drop into the 'Knife & Fork' aka Chakets de Thorens.

I'm similarly a 46yo intermediate boarder, and would be happy to have some company that isn't my teenage kids who will be learning to board!

@richie44, I'm considering heading out around the same weekend if I can scrape enough pennies together and would very much like to find someone to ski with if I make it out there. I'm an intermediate skier, just looking to have a good, relaxed time. Have you decided where you're staying yet?
