Just bought some skis with Look Xpress 11 bindings on. They have been mounted but the selling shop will not take legal responsibility for them (online) so says I have to go to a "specialist shop" and need "specialist tools" to adjust them. Hmmm..... (And don't have them around here anyway.)
Have Googled, but can't find anything telling me where FP indicator is or how to check or change it.
Are a system (rail) binding so I'll work out eventually how to adjust BSL and DIN, but confirmation of those would be helpful if anyone knows.

Your "specialist tools" are likely just a couple of screwdrivers, one cross-head, one flat.
I can't see anything about FP, but this video shows another Look binding that I think has similar BSL adjustment (lift tab and slide along rail into position).

DIN is adjusted by turning the screw and checking the window. My rail bindings have an arrow under the heel for FP.Others have a tab that you can see behind the heel. Do your bindings have anything like that?

The DINs are the big screws, yes. A technical big screwdriver will obviously be required.
I got my boots out and had another play and worked out that the BSL adjuster is a black lift-up lever hiding along the heel binding's side, looking like a brake - so sussed that. It's a simple toothed slide with 6mm increments.
I think the FP indicator is a yellow bit of plastic which fills, half fills or disappears from a small window set into the rear side of the heel piece - does that make sense to anyone? Can't see any way of adjusting it though, except via the macro BSL teeth. I put the boot in at 6mm over where it was set when I got the skis, and the window was full yellow. I put the BSL slide back ( shorter) and with boot in binding the marker was half yellow, half air. Does that sound right?

Confirms the 'no more than half of yellow bit showing' on FP; think micro FP either doesn't exist or is a tap on the heel piece ( got to read it all on a bigger screen than a small tablet).
Interesting that the Rossi recommended DIN settings, adjusted for age, ability and tiny paws (never seen that taken account of in DIN calculation) moves me up between 1.5 and 2.5 from my usual on piste setting (5); hmmmm...

@Grizzler, DIN calculation is your height/weight against BSL, then adjusted for age and ability. There are plenty of charts online if you want to check it, just look for a recent one. Given your recent knee injuries, I guess you might want to err on the side of caution?

@Scarlet, Yes, knees, much caution... ( though potential pre-release just as worrying). Think that I'll stick with where I'm happy with the DINs on my other skis unless there's a specific reason to put them higher on these particular bindings.

@Grizzler, Did you figure out how to adjust the height of the toe plate so that the AFD pressure is just right? I have the same bindings and adjusted everything else but the AFD is pushing against my boot strong enough so that I can't slide a piece of paper under it. Any idea how to adjust this?

@j1293, the AFD height on that binding is not adjustable - so assuming that your alpine boot soles are within specification then you just set the forward pressure and dins then go.
