Last night I went to my first Snow-Camp event and met some of their apprentices, who were amazing full of enthusiasm and enjoying being involved in snow sports and its community, as one of them stated when you on the mountain you are all bound together by the enjoyment and the love of skiing and snowboarding, no matter where you have come from.
I really admire the work that Snow-Camp do and how they help develop people, the Switch 180 video is worth a watch http://youtube.com/v/YuLc7S507rg
@Hurtle, It really is, the skills the apprentices develop and their enthusiasm and confidence when talking about what they do and why teh want to do it was inspiring. We as Snowheads should be encouraging more people to join us on the mountains. I'll get off my soapbox

There is a 15 year Anniversary ball taking place on 4 October in London, there isn't anything on the website about it, more details from Julia@snow-camp.org.uk, I picked up a leaflet on it last night.
On behalf of everyone at Snow-Camp, a huge thank you for engaging with this thread and supporting Snow-Camp's work with inner-city young people.
As we approach our 15th anniversary in October, with Snow-Camp programmes now running in 5 regions right across the UK, we couldn't be more committed to our vision of changing the lives of thousands more inner-city young people with snowsports over the coming years.
If any of you have any specific questions about our work, the ways you can get involved and how your donation's are making a real difference, please fire away or check out our website www.snow-camp.org.uk.

Snow-Camp now in Cardiff
"This year we're working with the WCVA to support young people in Cardiff who are either not in education, employment or training, have low skills or are young carers. Through Snow-Camp the young people can gain qualifications and work experience while learning a new sport at Cardiff Ski And Snowboard Centre.
We're looking forward to welcoming the young people back to Snow-Camp in October for our Graduate Programme!"
