Poster: A snowHead

Just wondering what the transfer time is by coach - doing our first proper package trip, so have no idea. It's a Sunday to Sunday deal, so was wondering if the roads will be any quieter. Thanks.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Mark, shouldn't take more than 2hrs, I can get to Chambery airport in less than 1 1/2 hrs but coach's speeds are governed and they usually stop en route. For some reason they all seem to use a grotty little service area just past Albertville. Can't think why! BTW if anyone is driving, the Gendamarie seem to be cracking down on speeding on the N90, not that you can on a Saturday. There are a couple of cameras activeted now, one in the tunnel at Moutiers and one just past it.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Did a Sunday transfer for the first time this year and noticed that it was much better than previous holidays with a Saturday transfer, so you should be ok.
(Went to Les Arcs and we could see La Rosiere from our chalet across the valley!)
Major bonus was the Saturday - lovely and quiet on the slopes...

Hadn't coinsidered that Saturday might be quiet Mountain Mad - good point.
Knowing the French, I'm really surprised they put up with speed cameras, David.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Mark, I'm tempted to paint a 'Golden Arch' on them, then they'd blow them up. Incidentally, heard a rumour that the McDonalds in Bourg St Maurice is doing such poor business that it's likely to close. HooRay.
