still, I suppose it just goes to show how much better graphical interfaces are than mere text! |
You are right to point that out and I will go fix it when I have a moment. I had an automated translations tool which I spent ages training with special weather and avalanche terms a couple of winters back. It was doing a pretty good job then Meteo France changed the format of their page - they also keep promising to do an English version of the bulletin but never seem to deliver on this.
Anyway the formatting changes and the minor restructuring of the bulletin plus a license problem with my translation software meant I suddently couldn't do the translations in the middle of December 07. Google doesn't do a good job so I was on the point of abandonning the whole project and had started moving the links to the original French pages. Then I started work on another solution. However I need to convert my old dictionaries to the new format so the translations are a bit ropey at the moment. I have not had a minute over the last two months and with the avy risk set at 1/5 for weeks on end lacked motivation. Now we are entering winter I will go back and have a look.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

David@traxvax, sorry it was just my bad wording. What I meant was that I agreed with what you said. The next bit was extra information and a map. I should have been more clear.

Mountain-area wise it is on the Mont-blanc Massif (I think, or are the mountains on the other side of the Valley something else?)
