Just got the tickets through for the trip to Livigno the week after next and the luggage allowance is 15kg |
Same as Ryanair.
Although with Ryanair *if* you've paid for ski carriage, then you don't have to put your boots in your main bag, so the 15kg is a bit less onerous. But even if you have paid for ski carriage, if you don't actually have skis, your boots can't be in a separate bag! [At least that's the rule EMA check-in were applying in January.]

RobW, yup - got caught out by Ryanair a few years ago on that one. Caught out to the tune of about £50 if I remember.

Sounds like they are being tight, but sometime this is dictated by aircraft type especially if it a a propeller type like the dash8s that operate into some airports eg Bolzano etc.
that said i average 12kg including boots excluding salopettes (in hand luggage)

RobW, I've carried my boots as hand luggage dozens of times on all airlines (incl Ryan Air)... that's with & without paying for skis (altho' i must admit i've never paid for them when i don't have any) ... never had any trouble at all - they barely look at your hand luggage.

stoatsbrother, and you can have a lap top bag/handbag/briefcase as well. Mind you, they might not let you have your boots until 72 hours after you land, judging by my recent experience.

Dave Horsley, trouble is there are too many people who might find the lack of other clothing a bit of an issue. Still I suppose the SO would have somewhere to hang her coat.

Yoda, it probably is, I wasn't thinking of LGW, sorry. I think that the restriction at LGW and some other UK airports is imposed by the airport rather than the airlines (not that it makes much difference to us).
