Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mike Pow, Yes - welcome to Snowheads. conditions are very good at the moment. I was teaching low level today, but friends found brilliant powder just off themain glacier runs. They said the best they'd ever skied! I was at 2,100m and the snow was excellent there. I skied down to the village at the end of the day, and it wasn't too bad. It was a bit heavy on the bottom of the Valentin but much better than last week. Only spoilt by "aspirant" Moniteurs Federal who were belting down faster than they should have been without adequate control!!

If you're around, or can grab a bit of time then you should defintely do so, but the forecast for the weekend is precipitation - snow/rain level being at 2,100m approx (Les Cretes). That's OK as so much of the best ski-ing is above there anyway, but the visibility may not be brilliant if it's snowing hard.

Pity the BASH isn't here - I think the conditions are probably better than Les Arcs! wink wink

Snow this weekend, a warm sunny middle of next week (Tues/Weds) and more rain/snow again at the end of next week is how it currently looks.

easiski, perhaps we should have the EOSB in Deux Alpes next year-Women only courses, etc etc etc. I will need to go to Serre Che to sort out the apartment so will be in the area anyway.

Wengen is great - I grew up ski-ing there - love it, but not reliable for very early or late season as it's so low.

Yesterday was a horrible day - high winds, snowing, blizzard and raining beloew 2,100m. Got very wet on the Cretes as the wind was too bad to work higher up. It poured all afternoon and evening down here in the town, but turned to snow overnight, so we've got about 5 cms down here this morning.

I don't know how much fresh there is higher up (the wind will have moved it around a lot), but it probably snowed about 20 cms or so overall.

Not at the bash? pop over for a couple of days - LDA is open until the end of business next Saturday (30th).

Obviously I won't be posting many snow reports for the next 2 months, but watch this space!!!!! Cool Cool Cool
