Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Roundup from the Scottish centres - still could do with more snow but what has fallen this week will be nice and fresh and the weather forecast for the next few days is pretty good.

Nevis aka Aonach Mor - best bet at the moment, full 2000 ft vertical open. Summit runs, Goose and chair runs all complete plus beginner areas at the bottom and off Alpha. However, runs are described as a bit thin and rocky in places.

Cairngorm - excellent skiing in the top basin, Coire Cas will also open tomorrow.

Glenshee - Cairnwell t-bar, Carn Aosda, Butchart's t-bar and access poma all open.

Glencoe - were planning to open some runs off the cliffhanger chair but Wed thaw may have killed this off, they're not doing much updating on their site.

Lecht - limited snow has fallen but it's cold enough for the cannons to be on, so I would expect they'll manage to get at least something going this weekend.

Fingers crossed it'll still be there in Aviemore come the 4th Feb - heading up there then. Will be taking walking boots as well, since forward planning a skiing trip is rather risky...

Went up to Nevis yesterday, they weren't kidding about the rocks !

Still it was great to be out getting some turns in. There is a reasonable base there now, just have to pray that the next dump arrives before any mega-thaws.
