I remember this guy attracted a lot of harsh comment on the SCGB forum when he was found after after being lost for 5 days. I think he now deserves enormous credit for showing such fortitude despite losing both his legs.

As I recall from the original stories, the liners froze and it became impossible for him to walk on them, or to get them back on when he'd taken them off to try and warm up his feet, or something like that...

MarkP, It's about a clown who goes off into the wilderness, unprepared, on his own and only just survives.  He lost both his feet from frost bite, put other peoples lives at risk and cost the US government (tax payer) a fortune in rescue services.

xyzpaul, I've made many many wrong decisions in my time but none a reckless as this clowns. Even if I'm skiing piste all day I am more prepared for a overnight stay in the snow than this lady's front bottom. I have absolutely no sympathy for him or others like him.
