Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Dancing yourself fit ?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Coming up to that time again - snow is nearly here but are the legs ready. javascript:emoticon('Sad') Panic - what can I do to get fit quickly.

How about dancing as a way to get fit (almost) painlessly ? Anyone tried it ?

Should be possible - keep upper body steady, balance with the arms, keep the legs moving rythmically (sound like any snowhead you know ?).

Questions are:

where do you do if you are far too old for even a grab a grannie night at the local disco; and

what music would be your choice ?

Eric Prydz and Call on Me certainly provides some eye candy to work out with (or should it be work out to ?).javascript:emoticon('Toofy Grin')

I used to put on ABBA and dance around my living room. Must do that again--glad deerman, reminded me! Very Happy

When you look at the waistlines of the Strictly celebs. I strongly believe that you can dance yourself fit!!

Megamum, I very much doubt that those people do any other type of exercise.

I do swing jive which keeps me fit. You certainly know when you have been doing that all night. It is good for timing and improving balance. Toofy Grin

Interesting that this subject came up again today:
I discovered "Movement Medicine" --a dance class where you just dance --as fast or slow , as much or as little as you feel inclined to -- but the music inspires one to be quite energetic!
Caroline Carey's dance session for 2 hours on Tuesday evening at Hampstead Town Hall 7 to 9pm
-- she functions in Brighton also.

I've been for two sessions before Christmas --it was amazing! Very Happy
Am definitely going tomorrow -- it is just what's needed for mind AND body-- next best thing to ski n'snow!

--will post the link--

dancemats and an old ps2 Wink Salsa was certainly working too - easy to find classes for that.
