Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person
Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person
Saw that on the rsre newsgroup - but when he says the pistes didn't suffer, they certainly did at, and close to resort level - the netting poles around the stadium finish area were firmly embedded in the snow the day before the heavy rain (Thursday night). On Friday morning the netting was no longer touching the snow, and was a good 7/8 cms above the ground.

The snow gods still seem to be angry - it poured with rain up to 1800/1900m last night all around the Tarentaise, in fact the stuff that settled up to 2000/2100m is little better than slush. In Les Arcs the ski club went up at 8.30 as usual, then did an about turn and came straight down. It's still raining hard up to 1800m. Ok they might have some decent snow very high up (2200m +) but there is talk around the Savoie of a number of resorts closing early for the first time in maybe 10 years Sad if conditions don't improve. Les Arcs, for example, will be reviewing the situation in a week's time.
