Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've uploaded some pics from last week in L2A here (they should be in an album but I haven't figured that out yet):

Can't recommend the place highly enough as a summer destination. There is tons to do for kids of all ages plus of course glacier skiing amid awesome mountain scenery.

We took lessons with easiski and got my 2 boys started. My elder son, Euan, is particularly away with it and by the end of the week was skiing happily unaided down a blue piste. Run of the mill you might think, but he's on the autistic spectrum so it was a moment I wasn't sure would happen. Charlotte is a great teacher and took the special problems Euan can sometimes present in her stride.

I am well chuffed Very Happy Cool snowHead

We had lessons with easkiski just before, and she mentioned she was looking forward to your visit. I thought then that if Euan got to like ski-ing, it could be a wonderful activity for someone with autism, as it is such a great way of expressing yourself. Also the sort of activity that you can enjoy alongside others, even if you can't communicate very well (as I know all too well having skied with French groups with limited French). Fantastic to hear that it was so successful.

brian, thanks for the kind words, and I'll get to look at the pix later - of course I saw some on your camera. I should say everyone that Euan really wasn't very difficult, had good balance and co-ordination, and so it was really a pleasure teaching him - he just took to it and ran!

Nice pics, Brian. We too went to LDA last month for our first "non beach" summer holiday. The kids all enjoyed the bungy trampoline near the bottom of the Jandri. The afternoon we went to the toboggan run, I think there were more adults than kids on it. I managed to get my 5 yr old on skis for the first time and down the glacier, albeit between my legs. Great holiday and now looking for an apartment there for over Christmas Very Happy

Markw, Check out my "Easiski specials" page. Several apartments on there which are pretty nice. Very Happy I think Paul McKinnell's one is rented for Xmas, but I'm not 100% sure.

Chris Reed, 7 and 4. The wee one only lasted for short spells but they're both keen to go again.
