Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Verbier Banana Couloir Route

I've been searching all over on the net for something that shows pics and a route description for getting into this thing but cannot find anything. I've seen the couloir from below and I know it ends up entering into the top of col de la mouche, I also know that access is from mont gele and the start is a long traverse across the top of the main itinerary on tha backside of mont gele, but other than that I'm a bit lost. I know the entry is hairy with some heavy exposure traversing involved (i.e don't fcuk it up or things could get a tad fatal Madeye-Smiley ).

Can a Verbier local offer a detailed route description into the banana?
