Brit ski instructor Dave Morris was also, slightly, hurt when the cable dropped on him. That lift derails way to often.

But according to a number of snowheads you don't need a helmet if you're a competent and careful skier.

I think you'd need more than a helmet to deal with the downward force of a ski lift cable raining down on your skull. I'd suggest going up the t-bar in an armoured car.

Need to get some Scottish engineers on the job. They know how to cope with wind......unless this is due to glacier movements ..or snowboarders
