Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Guide - Puy St Vincent

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

Will be in Puy St Vincent in early March with the wife and junior and will have mornings to myself (in theory!) while junior is with the Snowbizz creche and my wife will be in lessons.

Have heard that there is some decent off-piste and would like to hire a guide for a morning or two before being home for family time in the afternoon. Does anyone have any recommendations of guides I should get in contact with?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

All the local guides I know are tied up with the SOPiB from 11-18th March, if it's not then, let me know and I'll put you in touch!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Fleecy, what sort of guiding you looking for.

A family friend is a top ESF snowboard instructor there and obviously knows it very well, and or could put you in touch with people etc

Or try Azimut based in Briancon

@Fleecy, Are you looking for a guide who would typically lead you around the mountain(s) or are you looking for instruction? Will you just use the lifts or are you thinking of doing some touring? Your best choice might depend on your answers. Within the resort a good instructor....outside the resort bounds a good guide...

Murray Hamilton is a Scottish guide living nearby in Les Vigneaux for the last 25 years. I don't have a link to hand but he has a website if you want to Google him.
