Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

You do know that denim shrinks over time? Especially longitudinally to the fibres, e.g. the waist? wink

My friend does the zoe thing...she's very into nutrition and won't touch bacon because its carcinogenic. She is also gluten intolerant and gets very ill if she consumes any, bit isn't coeliac. Anyway she was already slim when she started, she's now skinny as a rake and doesn't appear to enjoy food much. She wouldn't even have a spoonful of a dessert I made the other week to try it so her hubby had 2 portions.

I can well believe that using Zoe would both appeal to orthorexics and exacerbate (or maybe even trigger) orthorexia.

Had to look that up. Maybe goes along with an obsession for cleanliness and hygiene, which is apparently not good for the gut biome, which apparently benefits from a peck of dirt from time to time.

I think it's polite to at least try things that people make for you! My sister got so fed up with special diets that she was tempted to make a sprout vindaloo for one particularly difficult guest.

I have a friend - for more than 60 years - who is super-allergic to dairy of any kind. Her OH likes cheese but only eats the ghastly non-dairy stuff, out of solidarity. They drink little or nothing and are very ascetic in what they eat. Which is fine, but when we did an Alps trip together, just a few days, I ended up feeling like a piss-head getting through several bottles of wine all on my own and having a glass of red and my favourite Beaufort cheese whilst they shared an apple. We had a good time though!

That does seem above and beyond. Sticking to non-dairy cheese out of solidarity I could just about understand, but foregoing the good non-dairy stuff & restricting yourself to the ghastly sounds like quite a sacrifice.

All the non-dairy "cheese" is ghastly.

@pam w, Tim Spector spouts a lot of rubbish. Plenty of his stuff has been debunked. However, the gut microbiome stuff is definitely an emerging area of research right now. So some keffir is probably beneficial, especially after antibiotics which diminish both total levels and diversity of gut microbiome.

As said above, simply freezing food doesn't make it unhealthy. In fact fruit frozen immediately after being picked may contain more nutrients on "fresh" fruit you are buying days after being picked! The issue is most frozen foods tend to be highly processed with lots of additives and preservatives.

It can be a benefit for some foods as it lowers the GI
