Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm going to Sauze the first week of March and I was hoping to get some new boots fitted. Does anyone have recommendations for a good bootfitter there?

They all do.
Faure rental shop is in the main Assietta (just up from hotel Assietta). They have the Ingham's contract.
Besson have a shop 50 yds up the road opposite Miravalinos bar.
They may have other stores too.
Clataud certainly do, I see many of their bags on arrival day, and think they have several rental locations.

Not sure there's much to choose between them, but Federico who runs Faure used to race (as did Snr Besson...) And their staff are pretty friendly.

Thanks for that. I guess I'm just weary about shelling out a good bit of money somewhere that don't do much dedicated bootfitting, but then again these shops probably couldn't operate without the rental side.

I went to Bootlab in Courveval and have since found out they sold me boots that were way too big for my skinny narrow legs/feet. So a bit apprehensive about that happening again.

If they were ski racers though surely they understand how important it is.

Based on Google reviews alone, I'd probably lean more towards Besson.

Another option is to just rent from them and keep trying different boots rather than buy.
