Poster: A snowHead
|
I have had a gap from skiing of a few years but will be going in Feb. I have a pair of 2002 Rossignol Power T Cobra X ski's that are in excellent condition but as part of the holiday I can have free standard rental ski's.
All the skiing will be on-piste, so the question is should I take the Cobras or will technology have moved on enough that the standard rental ski's will give a better experience? Of course I have no idea what would be provided as rentals.

Malcy, Pay for a upgrade from the standard ski and try some of the latest skis to check out difference from the skis you last used.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hmm, that's a possibility. I could just take my smowblades and test some current models while there.
What models should I look out for? The skiing is all on-piste.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Oh yes, and I agree with riverman, pay a little extra to upgrade to some 'performance' skis (as I believe they are refered to now).

Nothing, per se...
My new Volkl Tigersharks are the bees knees for on-piste skis. Also have a look at the Rossignol Z9s, cracking pair also.

They are only playthings that get a one day outing in a week, a bit of fun.
Anyway, thanks for the advice.
