What's the general view on this? I have always put my kids in them because they are cosy & if/when they fall or muck about, snow doesn't get into their undies, but I'd hate to think I'd psychologically damaged them

My kids are 11 & 13 and have been image conscious for a while. As they REALLY start to grow we find having "seperates" a big help as the jacket may fit wheras the pants may not. Also the jackets get a lot off wear away from the slopes.

My younger son started in matched separates, and is now in a different set of matched separates. My older daughter started in a Navy blue fartbag, and this year will graduate into non-matched separates. I just love her bright new Poivre Blanc jacket - its bright red - I wished it fitted me!!

My five year old is really small, age 3 school trousers, and he was so miserable in them, eventually managed to get separates that zip together fom Tchibo, so they act like fartbags but look like separates - problem solved.
